PEC TipTrak™ S-2 chosen by Boston Valley TerraCotta

In conjunction with our Buffalo distributor, Pooley Inc., we have been awarded a bid to supply Boston Valley TerraCotta with a PEC TipTrak™. Utilizing both superior terracotta engineering knowledge and sculpting talent, Boston Valley TerraCotta has become one of the leading manufacturers of architectural terracotta in the US. They approached us with an equipment challenge they hoped we could solve.

They needed a bucket conveyor that was:

• virtually spillage-free,
• requires little maintenance and,
• has a small footprint to fit in a tight place on the factory floor

The PEC bucket conveyor was an obvious choice for this solution. This newly redesigned model features large inspection windows, and clear polycarbonate access doors on both top and bottom curve sections. The interlocking deep buckets, which come standard with all TipTrak™ conveyor systems, ensures that the product doesn’t spill. At this particular plant, the PEC TipTrak™ will be handling architectural clay that will feed into a mixer, processing 3000 lbs every 5 mins, approximately 4 times an hour. This architectural clay is used for a variety of exterior building applications.
